Hi, my name is Jean. I'm a counsellor in Nelson and Stoke.
I work with individuals, couples and small therapeutic groups. I've been counselling since 2008 and have a private practice in Nelson since 2012.
My approach for working with clients is one of a non assuming position. I trust that given space and respect an individual will develop a greater and more personal cultural understanding of themselves.
I work person centred, psychodynamic, and will draw on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approaches depending on my clients needs at the time. I have a Counselling degree (Applied Social Science, Counselling).
I am originally from Jersey (Channel Islands) but have spent the last 30 years living in various countries. I immigrated to Nelson 20 years ago with my partner and two young children.
