Addiction - Counselling Southland

Penelope is a Registered Social Worker, Somatic Practitioner, and Yoga Teacher who integrates trauma-informed care, intuitive movement, somatic touch and ritual to guide individuals and couples through healing, transformation, and growth.

I offer in-person counselling for individuals and couples from a cozy boathouse studio in central Whangarei, also worldwide online counselling in English, Swedish and Estonian. My therapy style is solution focused CBT mixed with other styles I find useful in personal growth. My areas of interest include couples therapy, migration and cultural issues, stress and anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, communication difficulties and self-esteem concerns.

In life we can all have times that are more challenging and painful than others and counselling can provide a safe space to work through those seasons. I am a Counsellor and Couples Therapist who is committed to providing that safe and confidential environment where people can feel heard and validated while working through their pain and struggles without judgement.
