I bring a warm, attachment-centred approach to my practice, creating a safe space where you can reconnect with your body's innate wisdom. My work is a blend of experiential/body-based and conversation, allowing you to explore and heal through felt sense and embodied experience.
My Training & Experience
My therapeutic foundation is rooted in
Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy, where I am currently deepening my studies. This approach honors the body as a pathway to healing and transformation. I've enriched this work through training with Dr Paris Williams in mindful somatic approaches to trauma, and I integrate principles from Internal Family Systems to help you reconnect with all parts of yourself with compassion.
I've spent many years exploring contemplative movement and mindfulness. I have a long standing yoga asana practice and have completed 500hr of teacher training with Yoga Coach Australia. My practice is further informed by extensive experience in meditation, Tai Chi, and breathwork - all tools that support your journey back to wholeness. I am also a New Zealand trained secondary school teacher with classroom experience and a parent to three amazing young people. The later being my most rewarding and toughest training to date - can you relate?
Who I Work With
I specialize in supporting people who feel stuck, particularly those navigating:
- Stress and anxiety
- Trauma and it's effects on the body and nervous system
- Life transitions and personal growth
- Disconnection from their authentic self
- Relationship difficulties
- Parenting challenges
- Developing body awareness and somatic tools
Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply yearning for a deeper sense of connection with yourself, my approach offers a gentle yet powerful pathway to healing. Together, we'll explore how your body holds both your pain and your potential for transformation.
My Approach
Drawing from my experience as both an educator and a parent, I understand that true learning—and healing—happens in relationship and through experience. In our sessions, you'll be invited to slow down, turn inward, and listen to the wisdom your body is always offering. This isn't about fixing or changing yourself, but about coming home to who you truly are.
I believe that within each of us lies an innate capacity for healing, growth, and joy. My role is to create the conditions where this natural process can unfold.
