Are you a counsellor, psychotherapist, life coach or psychologist in New Zealand?

You may be having the same arguments, feeling unheard, or simply not as connected as you once were.
I also work with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, and life challenges - often these experiences are closely connected to our relationships.
I’ve lived a rich and full life, with my own share of ups and downs. Like many people, I’ve navigated relationship breakups, loss, menopause, marriage counselling, panic attacks, anxiety, and depression. These experiences have deepened my empathy and allow me to meet clients with genuine understanding.
I also have a longstanding interest in spirituality and meditation, which can offer practical support alongside the counselling process.
Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients across the lifespan, supporting people through grief, trauma, anxiety, loneliness, and relationship difficulties. I’m honoured to have worked with people from many different cultural backgrounds and life experiences.
Alongside my counselling work, I’ve run my own business and led a business association, so I understand the pressures that can come with work, responsibility, and leadership.
What matters most to me is creating a space where you feel safe, heard, and able to be yourself. I’m known for building genuine, down-to-earth connections — and there’s nothing you can say that will shock me.
We’ll work at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you, and finding ways forward that feel realistic and meaningful. While the work can be challenging, there is always room for warmth, humour, and light along the way.
I believe counselling should be as 'every day' as going to the doctor - something you can turn to for support, clarity, and ongoing wellbeing.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I work in accordance with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors’ Code of Ethics and regularly consult with a professional supervisor.
I trained in person-centred counselling at Youthline and have worked in a variety of settings, including a mental health provider, hospices, an intimacy clinic, and a primary school.
My areas of interest include relationships, anxiety, early childhood trauma, sexuality, spirituality, and end-of-life issues.
I take a pluralistic approach to counselling, which means I see you as the expert in your own life.
We’ll work together to understand what’s happening for you (or between you, as a couple), and draw on different approaches depending on what feels most helpful.
We’ll set clear goals so that you can see the process is working, and I’ll regularly check in with you to make sure the work feels supportive and on track.
