Counselling Parnell - Auckland

Counsellor for teens and adults

Counselling Approach:

My counselling approach is grounded in Person-Centred Therapy, which means I focus on creating a space where you feel truly heard, understood, and respected. I aim to support your growth and healing through active listening and genuine acceptance.

I also integrate Narrative Therapy to help you see challenges from a new perspective—turning difficulties into opportunities for growth and discovering your inner strength and resilience.

Simultaneously, I employ Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as a framework to help you cultivate acceptance of challenging emotions rather than struggle against them. This lets you focus on what truly matters and take meaningful steps toward your desired life.

Additionally, I apply Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, which helps you tap into your strengths and resources to find practical, achievable steps forward. This approach enables you to see progress quickly, build confidence, and move toward a more fulfilling life.

Background and Experience:
With over 10 years of counselling experience and a background in sales and marketing, I bring valuable insights into workplace dynamics, stress management, and cultural diversity. My journey as a migrant enhances my ability to empathize with clients navigating change, identity, and cultural differences. I provide hands-on, practical support with sensitivity and understanding, helping individuals address work-related challenges, personal struggles, and life transitions. Rooted in compassion and adaptability, I strive to create a safe and empowering space for growth, offering relatable guidance to help clients overcome obstacles and thrive in their unique journeys

I highly recommend booking a session with him

I reached out to Victor after going through a break up shortly after relocating to Auckland. I was finding it hard to make friends, to be on my own, and also had some other areas of my life I wanted to work on.

Victor is super friendly, always interested in my thoughts, and always open to share his insight which has helped me so much. Victor's help has been what I needed and I highly recommend booking a session with him.
