Kia ora, I’m Mari. I offer a gentle, trauma-informed, body-centered approach to experiential therapy rooted in Hakomi Somatic Psychotherapy, and further supported by Internal Family Systems (IFS). This way of working can be especially supportive for those navigating trauma, grief, anger, confusion, and fear, feeling stuck in recurring patterns, longing to feel more at home in themselves, or seeking greater connection, presence, and ease in their lives.

It’s about assisting you to build a fulfilling and meaningful life! I can help with all varieties of mild to moderate mental health issues, personal growth, life skills training, relationship/dating issues, life transitions and more. I offer Mental Health Coaching NZ wide and in-person sessions in Frankton, Queenstown.

I offer in-person counselling for individuals and couples from a cozy boathouse studio in central Whangarei, also worldwide online counselling in English, Swedish and Estonian. My therapy style is solution focused CBT mixed with other styles I find useful in personal growth. My areas of interest include couples therapy, migration and cultural issues, stress and anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, communication difficulties and self-esteem concerns.
