My passion is supporting people to achieve, learn, and grow, by using mentoring, education, modelling, guidance, and advocacy. In working with clients both individually and in groups, my aim is to provide a safe and nurturing environment which fosters the development of emotional resilience, inner authority, and autonomy, and supports individual learning styles and preferences in addition to knowledge and skills. The name of my counselling business, Finding Balance, reflects my values and my approach to life.

I offer in-person counselling for individuals and couples from a cozy boathouse studio in central Whangarei, also worldwide online counselling in English, Swedish and Estonian. My therapy style is solution focused CBT mixed with other styles I find useful in personal growth. My areas of interest include couples therapy, migration and cultural issues, stress and anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, communication difficulties and self-esteem concerns.

In life we can all have times that are more challenging and painful than others and counselling can provide a safe space to work through those seasons. I am a Counsellor and Couples Therapist who is committed to providing that safe and confidential environment where people can feel heard and validated while working through their pain and struggles without judgement.
